A burner and a cooking appliance including the burner are provided to uniformly heat a container containing food and execute a simmer mode for containers having various sizes. A cooking appliance includes an outer burner(230), an inner burner(260) and a wire moving pipe(290). The outer burner includes fire holes(231,261) and first and second fire transfer holes(233). The fire holes burn a gas to heat a heated object. The first and second wire transfer holes transfer flame generated when a gas discharged from the fire holes is burnt. The inner burner is located on the outer burner. The inner burner includes fire holes for burning a gas to heat a heated object. The fire moving pipe is connected with the first and second wire transfer holes.
