PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable holding the optical fiber core wire while improving side pressure characteristic, thereby preventing movement of the core wire and preventing deterioration of transmission loss due to side pressure. SOLUTION: In this optical fiber cable 11, the optical fiber core wire 23 is housed in a slot groove 17 of a spacer 15 with a slot groove 17, a pressing winding tape 29 is provided around the spacer 15, and the outside of the pressing winding tape 29 is coated with a sheath 31. The pressing winding tape 29 is wound with spaces, and at the space, the sheath 31 is recessed inside from a virtual line 37 connecting the tips of both side walls 17a, 17b of the slot groove 17.
