<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition excellent in the fine pigment dispersibility and its stableness, capable of forming a high quality image having a vivid hue and high coloring power, and favorably used for inkjet recording which can harden with irradiation of active radiations, and provide an image forming method using the ink composition and also an image recorded object. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition contains at least a polymer including (a) polymerizable compound, (b) pigment, and (c) repeating units originating from a monomer given by general formula (1). In formula, R<SP>1</SP>represents hydrogen atom or alkyl radical, while W represents a divalent coupling group selected among -CO-, -COO-, -CONR<SP>2</SP>-, OCO-, and arylene group.
