PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting receiver appropriately executing the deletion of program information. SOLUTION: An MPU 11 of the digital broadcasting receiver has: a program information acquisition section 111 for acquiring program information including viewing restriction information for each program via a reception section 15 for each preset and prescribed time for recording in a program information storage section 121; a number calculation section 112 for obtaining the number of pieces of program information stored in the program information storage section 121 each time when the program information is recorded in the program information storage section 121; a number determination section 113 for determining whether the number of pieces of program information is not less than the preset, prescribed number of thresholds; a program selection section 116 for selecting program information to be deleted from the program information stored in the program information storage section 121 by following preset rules when it is determined that the number of pieces of program information is not less than the number of thresholds; and a deletion execution section 117 for deleting the selected program information to be deleted from the program information storage section 121.
