<p>An objective lens for an optical pickup device which can perform recording/reproduction of information compatibly for different optical discs stably regardless of the environmental temperature variation even through a simple and low cost configuration. An optical pickup device employing such objective lens is also provided. A third optical path difference imparting structure for correcting aberration resulting from the temperature variation of the objective lens is superimposed on a first optical path difference imparting structure, and a fourth optical path difference imparting structure for correcting aberration resulting from the temperature variation of the objective lens is superimposed on a second optical path difference imparting structure. Consequently, information can be recorded/reproduced on/from three different kinds of optical discs compatibly and stably for the environmental temperature variation through a simple configuration.</p>
