A method for implementing coexistence of a multi-mode terminal, including: the multi-mode terminal transmitting WiMAX data via a downlink subframe of a first frame and an uplink subframe of a second frame in a WiMAX dual-frame structure; the multi-mode terminal transmitting data of other wireless modes during an idle period, which consists of an uplink subframe period of the first frame and a downlink subframe period of the second frame in the WiMAX dual-frame structure. The embodiments of the present invention provide a multi-mode terminal.
