METAL OXIDE NANOSTRUCTURE AND ITS PHASE TRANSFORMATION PROCESS

A metal oxide nanostructure is provided to artificially manipulate a phase of the metal oxide nanostructure and facilitate a process of re-constructing a surface of the metal oxide nanostructure. A method for producing a lead oxide(PbO2) nanostructure comprises the following steps of: adding a sol-gel precursor to a mold or a film with nano-sized pores(a); and applying force to an axis direction of swirl of the metal oxide sol(b). The mold or film with nano-sized pores indicates anodized aluminium oxide(AAO). The sol-gel precursor of the metal oxide is prepared by dissolving lead salt in an acid solution. Applying force to an axis direction of swirl is performed by spin-coating. The nanostructure having an orthorhombic structure shows a nano wire or nanotube.
