FLAME RETARDANT POLYESTER COMPOSITION WITH ENHANCED THERMAL RESISTANCE

A flame retardant polyester composition is provided to show excellent flame retardancy and uniform physical properties without the excessive costs and the degradation of heat resistance. A flame retardant polyester composition comprises polyester 42-80 weight%, phosphorous-based flame retardant 5-30 weight%, nitrogen-based flame-retardant enhancer 1-15 weight%, layered silicate 0.5-5 weight% and inorganic activator 0.1-8 weight%. The polyester is a copolymer including 70-100 weight% of butylene terephthalate repeating unit or a resin mixture consisting of 70-100 weight% of polybutylene terephthalate and the balance of polyalkylene terephthalate.
