<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a reference beam transmitted through a recording medium during recording from being made incident onto the recording medium again, and to provide a hologram recording/reproducing device of a phase conjugate reproducing system achieving more precise data recording. <P>SOLUTION: The hologram recording/reproducing device includes: a laser light source; a split means splitting a laser beam into two beams; a spatial modulation means applying two-dimensional spatial modulation; an optical system irradiating the recording medium with the spatially modulated laser beam as a signal beam and the other as the reference beam to record recording information; a reflective mirror provided on an optical path of the reference beam transmitted through the recording medium; and a reproducing means reproducing the recording information recorded on the basis of the reference beam reflected by the reflective mirror. The hologram recording/reproducing device further includes: an optical path control means for the reference beam transmitted through the recording medium, wherein the optical path control means decides the direction of a reflective surface of the reflective mirror according to an operation mode; and a photodetector generating a photo reception detection signal. The optical path control means guides the reference beam transmitted through the recording medium to a light-receiving surface of the photodetector in a recording mode or a standby mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
