<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle antitheft system further improvable in antitheft performance. <P>SOLUTION: A specified vehicle state that a possibility of a theft exists in a parking vehicle is set, and a traveling preparation operation of the vehicle is set. This vehicle antitheft system 11 monitors the state of the parking vehicle and detects the traveling preparation operation of an illicit vehicle, the system 11 beings the vehicle into a traveling impossible state by inhibiting the start of an engine E as a crime prevention operation.
