PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon composite iron oxide agglomerate, such that even when ore containing water of crystallization in a high ratio is used as an iron oxide raw material, capable of securely preventing bursting in a rapid-heating reduction furnace without causing the reduction in the productivity of reduced iron or the like, the enlargement of a reduction furnace and the increase in the production cost for reduced iron.
SOLUTION: A carbon composite iron oxide agglomerate for use as a raw material in a rapid-heating reduction furnace is disclosed, which is characterized in that the total content of water of crystallization and volatile ingredients in the carbon composite iron oxide agglomerate is 10.5 mass% or lower, and the content of adherent water in the carbon composite iron oxide agglomerate is 1.0 mass% or lower.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
|
