PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction device for vacuum cleaners and a vacuum cleaner using the same, which are capable of surely peeling dust stuck to a rotary brush while preventing its weight from getting heavy in a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This suction device for vacuum cleaners includes the rotary brush 11, a suction chamber 12 having an opened lower part and rotatably storing the rotary brush 11, and a motor 13 for rotatingly actuating the rotary brush 11, wherein a plurality of dust peeling plates 20 are formed in the inner wall side of the suction chamber 12 along the length direction of the rotary brush 11.
