ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT, POWER SOURCE CONTROL METHOD FOR ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT, AND PROGRAM TO BE EXECUTED BY COMPUTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment for driving a display panel by using a battery as a power source and capable of making battery life longer without deteriorating usability as far as possible during the desired use time of a user.

SOLUTION: This electronic equipment is provided with an inter-luminance power consumption delta table 42 in which the inter-luminance power consumption delta of a panel 31 is registered; a Power Manager driver 52 for detecting the remaining capacity of the battery 25; and a Power Manager 51 for setting luminance of the panel 31. The Power Manager 51 sets the luminance of the panel 31 on the basis of the desired operation time of the battery 25 of a user, the remaining capacity of the battery and the data of the inter-luminance power consumption delta table 42.
