An assembly in which a plurality of exhaust pipes in a multi-cylinder engine is fitted together in a single unit and in which exhaust gases do not create eddy currents or turbulence in the areas where the pipes are fitted together. The configuration is designed such that, to prevent pockets from forming between a skirt and a plurality of sockets formed in a perforated cap, parts of each of the sockets and part of the skirt are arranged linearly relative to each other so as not to form an eddy current.
