<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an unnecessary increase in size of a recording paper required for printing caused by taking too much margin, while taking an appropriate margin for a user to write in. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a margin deciding portion 421 which decides whether an amount of data of an image on an Nth page is a predetermined first threshold value or below and an amount of data of an image on an N+1th page is a predetermined second threshold value or below; and a switch-over controlling portion 433 which makes a page image generating portion 431 generate an image to be printed which is an integrated image of the images on the two pages when the margin deciding portion 421 decided, while making a margin generating portion 432 generate an image to be printed which consists of the image on the Nth page and a margin area when the margin deciding portion 421 did not decide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
