PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing apparatus enabling a user to give a second photographing instruction or the subsequent at a position of the range of a subject where a seam between adjacent still images may be proper when photographing a single panoramic image by instructions given plurality of times, and enabling the user to do it easily. SOLUTION: A digital camera is provided with an SDRAM 4 for storing image data inputted via an imaging element 1 and an imaging circuit 3; and a CPU 10 for obtaining a change in posture of the camera of the present time point for the time point when a photographing instruction is given by depressing a shutter button and displaying the obtained change in posture together with a through image on a display screen of a display unit 15.
