<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood pressure measuring apparatus in which high measurement precision is obtained by a simple way. <P>SOLUTION: In the step 140, the simultaneous measurement of an electrocardiogram and a pulse wave is performed. In addition, when only the pulse wave is employed, the measurement of only the pulse wave is performed. In the step 150, the analysis of an electrocardiogram signal and a pulse wave signal obtained by measurement is performed and feature amount, which are used for the calculation of blood pressure or the correction of volume AI, are computed. In the step 160, the validity of the electrocardiogram signal and the pulse wave signal is checked. In the step 170, the correction of the volume AI is performed. In the step 180, the blood pressure is computed, for example, utilizing the formula (1) and using pulse wave propagation time (PTT) and the correction volume AI which are obtained by the processing of each of the steps.
