PURPOSE:To minimize the capacity of an address conversion table and enable easy change of contents by constituting the address conversion table by 1 bit width, i.e. minimum unit, and representing amount of deviation of physical address in each logical address. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a logical address counter 6 that counts existing quantity of appointed logical address 1, and physical address 7. After data continuation information 4 is written in an address conversion table 5 of 1 bit width as initial setting, conversion from logical address to physical address is performed according to an address conversion flow chart basing on appointed logical address 1. Not only address conversion is realized by bit number of maximum value N of physical address, but generation of address conversion table 5 is surely performed at the time of initial setting. Accordingly, even when the amount of constitution of data corresponding to logical address 1, is changed the address conversion table 5 is changed automatically by making initial setting. |
