PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a data processing system by producing and checking a parity when data are transferred between a microprocessor part and a peripheral device. CONSTITUTION:A parity bit on a system bus can be supplied to a parity production/check circuit having a parity bit producing/checking function via a switch means. At the same time, the parity bit on the system bus or the parity bit outputted from the parity production/check circuit can be supplied and stored selectively to a parity bit memory via the switch means. Thus the deformation of data is avoided when data are transferred between the master and slave boards. This improves the reliability of a data processing system. |
