摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate or reduce the application of a DC component to a liquid crystal display element event if there is a DC drift on a video signal processing circuit side by performing DC cutting by a capacitor and applying a video signal to one electrode of the liquid crystal display element and a video signal passed through a capacitor to the other electrode. CONSTITUTION:A video signal SC is passed through a polarity inverting circuit 12 to generate a bipolar video signal SV' which is inverted at intervals of one field period T and when the video signal SV' is plus, a transistor TR conducts between its collector and emitter to apply the signal to a data electrode 19. In this case, a voltage having the same polarity is applied to a common electrode 18 through a resistance R1, but the voltage between both electrodes 18 and 19 is different in polarity from the voltage between the electrodes 18 and 19 and set equal in level when it is applied only through an application path including the resistance R1 in the period of the video signal SV' with the negative polarity, so that even if a DC drift is generated in every two fields, the liquid crystal display element 16 is driven with an AC voltage while a DC voltage is prevented from being applied.
