PURPOSE:To obtain an optical information recording carrier which excels in heat stability and preservation stability scarcely deteriorated in recording sensitivity and can perform writing with small laser power, by providing a light absorbing layer containing a pi-conjugate polymer film onto a substrate. CONSTITUTION:For a light absorbing layer 3, a metallic film 6 is formed on a substrate 2 by a vapor deposition process, etc. and a pi-conjugate polymer film 7 is formed on the surface of the film 6. The pi-conjugate polymer uses, e.g., polyacetylene, a material obtained by applying the conjugate double connection to a skelton of another chemical structure, etc. The electric conductivity is generated by doping an electron acceptor or an electron donator. At the same time, a larger light absorption coefficient is obtained in a range from a visible area to a near infrared area. Owing to this large light absorption coefficient, the information can be written by drilling a hole through a heat processing after condensing the laser light which oscillates the light to a polymer film by an objective lens 5. |
