PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a rank correcting value based on a specified equation in stead of determining the rank correcting value by forming a patch pattern. SOLUTION: The first waveform of the driving waveform of a driving signal which is applied to each piezoelectric element 68 is formed in such a manner that a ratio for an electric potential difference between an initial voltage and a drawing voltage, and an electric potential difference between the drawing voltage and a discharging voltage is made the same, and at the same time, a ratio for a period of time from the initial voltage to the drawing voltage, a period of time by which the drawing voltage is applied, and a period of time from the drawing voltage to the discharging voltage is made the same. Then, a second waveform is formed into different waveforms for each piezoelectric element 68 in order to control the magnitude of a reverberation and the mist. Thus, the first waveform of the driving waveform which is applied to the piezoelectric element 68 for discharging a processing liquid at a specified discharging speed and a specified discharging volume, even for a transparent liquid such as the processing liquid, can be determined without detecting the concentration by forming the patch pattern.
