A cargo space expansion component is mounted on the inside of the vehicle on the tailgate. A rear support (9) is fitted to the rear of the vehicle. A cargo space is joined to the cargo space expansion component and is braced between the tailgate and the rear support. Joining the cargo space expansion component to the cargo space of the motor vehicle expands the cargo space.
