METHOD FOR PRODUCING IODONIUM SALT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of stably obtaining a high-purity diaryl iodonium salt useful as an acid-generating agent or a radical generating agent in high yield.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the iodonium salt comprises mixing a compound having an amino group and a carboxylic acid group in the molecule with an iodoaryl compound and a peracid and then adding an aromatic compound thereto. In the production method, an acid is preferably added together with the aromatic compound. A compound having an electron-releasing substituent can be used as the aromatic compound.
