<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque transmission device in which the component count is reduced, and the weight and cost-reduction are achieved irrespective of provision of a torque-limiting mechanism and an irreversible mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The torque transmission device is employed in a power-transmission system such as in a general industrial machine, aviation equipment, etc., and provided with the torque-limiting mechanism P which prevents torque of a specified value or higher inputted to an input shaft 1 from being transmitted to an output shaft 2, and the irreversible mechanism Q which prevents back-drive torque applied to the output shaft 2 from being transmitted to the input shaft 1. The torque limiting mechanism P comprises a first operation transducing part P1 and a torque interruption part P2. The irreversible mechanism Q is provided with a phase-difference generation part Q1, a second operation transducing part Q2, and a braking part Q3.
