PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat panel display device, facilitating repair operations after lighting inspection in the flat panel display device in which drive IC chips are mounted, in parallel with a periphery part of a display panel. SOLUTION: When a line defect 7 is found by lighting inspection, the drive IC chip 4, connected to a signal line at the part of line defect 7, is replaced with a new one. Only when the line defect 7 still appears, will the defect part be specified and an array substrate 21 be repaired. As to which drive IC chip 4-1, 4-2 is to be replaced, a hair line mark 24 is provided between a wiring group 23-1, extending from a mounting part of one drive IC chip 4-1 and a wiring group 23-2, extending from a mounting part of the adjacent drive IC 4-2, to facilitate determination by visual observation.
