<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer that is different from conventional ones and can detect HCV (hepatitis C virus). <P>SOLUTION: The nucleic acid amplification primer set includes a first primer and a second primer for detecting the RNA of HCV by a PCR method. One of the PCR primer set is used to synthesis its cDNA from a template (+) chain that is the main body of HCV by using the reverse transcriptase enzyme.
