THE ADDITIVE DATABASE METHOD HAVING FIGURE SEARCHING FUNCTION

A method for constructing an additional database with face search is provided to register image data automatically to a database in a digital imaging device when a face image included in the captured image data is determined as the same person registered in the database by registering original face data to the database in advance and comparing the captured face image with the registered original face data. Original face data(120) is registered to a database(110) in advance, and a face image included in image data(130) captured by a digital imaging device is compared with the original face data registered to the database. The captured face image is added to the database when the face image included in the captured image data is determined as the same person registered in the database. The face image registered to the database is added to the database until the needed number according to a recognition ratio for face search.
