PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent data loss due to sudden power interruption while recording. SOLUTION: A disk recording/reproducing system comprises a means for generating an index information for generating the index information of a recording content for every fixed recording unit or at fixed intervals while recording data, and a means for storing the index information, and carries out recording and reproducing on a disk by referring to the index information stored in the means for storing the index information when the index information cannot be recorded on the disk at the end of recording.
