<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indium recovery method capable of reducing loss of the amount of indium to be recovered and of increasing the amount of Sn separated from indium in a simple manner. <P>SOLUTION: The indium recovery method includes: preparing an acid solution containing indium and tin as a starting material, the acid solution being obtained by dissolving an acid-soluble material containing indium and tin, for example, an ITO target scrap or neutralized gypsum as a by-product in zinc refining, in an acid (e.g, hydrochloric acid) and removing residues from the resultant solution by solid/liquid separation; preparing an alkali solution obtained by dissolving an alkali, such as caustic soda (NaOH) or slaked lime, which allows the formation of a compound between indium and hydroxyl groups, in water or an electrolyte solution; adding the acid solution to the alkali solution; and subjecting the mixture to solid/liquid separation to recover an indium-containing solid matter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
