A METHOD FOR SENDING AND RECEIVING DATA AND BROADCASTING RECEIVER

A data transmitting/receiving method and a broadcasting receiver are provided to operate a host and a cable card accurately by connecting the data path of the host and the data path of the cable card by defining an error message process method on UDP communications. A cable card transmits a new flow request message(new flow req()) which connects data transmitting/receiving pass for UDP communications to a host(S41). The host receiving the new flow request message(new flow req()) transmits a new flow answering message(new flow cnf()) to the cable card(S42). The new flow request message(new flow req()) includes an error control filed which defines the error message process method generated on UDP communication(S43).
