The module has a structure assembly comprising an air conditioner (4) fixed on a dashboard crosspiece (2) by a fixation unit i.e. screw, provided close to an upper edge of the conditioner. A maintenance unit (22) maintains the conditioner with respect to the crosspiece during assembling the module. The unit is provided on the conditioner and on the crosspiece and includes a pre-fixation element (24) i.e. projecting element, and housing (26) for receiving the element. The housing retains the element so as to stop the movement of the conditioner relative to the crosspiece. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a dashboard module of a motor vehicle.
