An edge protector, e.g. for a sheet of glass, is extruded from thermoplastic material such as PVC. The extrusion includes a hollow box section (2) and a pair of limbs (3) and (4) which project from one side of the box section to extend on opposite sides of the edge to be protected. Opposing interior faces of the limbs are each provided with longitudinally-extending gripping tongues (16) formed from a resilient elastomeric material which is co-extruded with the limbs (3) and (4). The tongues (16) are angled inwardly towards the adjacent wall (8) of the box section. The wall (8) is provided with spaced ribs (18) which are also co-extruded from elastomeric material.
