PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition which is improved in stability of impact resistance, especially of dart impact property and has excellent processing stability while maintaining high thermal resistance and flowability of polyphenylene ether. SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises (A) >80 and≤99.5 parts by mass of a polyphenylene ether-based resin and (B)≥0.5 and <20 parts by mass of a liquid-crystal polyester with (C) 0.1-10 parts by mass of a Zn compound and/or a Mg compound, each amount being based on 100 parts by mass of the total amount of the (A) and (B) components.
