<p>A method for producing nanometer grade titania comprises: (a) dropping nonionic water slowly into titanium tetrachloride to prepare a titanium-containing solution with perfectly clear and pale yellow color; diluting the titanium-containing solution with a diluted solution of inorganic acid or salt; heating the titanium-containing solution through microwave; thereby obtaining an emulsion of nanometer grade titania with high Zeta voltage; and (b) filtering the obtained emulsion of nanometer grade titania with high Zeta voltage through a filtration film and washing it with a first carboxylic acid, and the pH of the first carboxylic acid is lower than 5.2; removing water and organic acid through azeotropic distillation with a second carboxylic acid; thereby obtaining nanometer grade titania. The obtained titania can be used in plastic, rubber, coating, fuel battery, etc.</p> |
