A card toy of which the purpose does not end with such a play that patterns are simply compounded by superposing the patterns drawn on sheets, but which is provided with additional elements consisting of an element that can be utilized in a game or a transmission element such as a message. In a card toy played by superposing a card (1) composed of a transparent material is superposed on a card (1) composed of a transparent or opaque material for play, each pattern (2) and a mark (m) of a predetermined shape are displayed on the card (1); when one card (1) is put on top of another card (1), the pattern (2) of the upper-stage card (1) covers the pattern (2) of the lower-stage card (1) at least partially, the pattern (2) of the upper-stage card (1) is compounded to the pattern (2) of the lower-stage card (1), and at least one mark (m) may be superposed on the mark (m) of other card (1) depending on the combination of the cards (1).
