摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-resolution synthetic aperture radar apparatus capable of precisely observing and tracking a target existing in a three-dimensional space, in the direction of its flying course. <P>SOLUTION: The synthetic aperture radar apparatus which is mounted on a flying object, comprises synthetic aperture radar processing sections 1-8, having an improved resolution in the cross-range direction of a beam formed in the shape of a circular cone, with respect to the axis of the flying course of the flying object; a flying-course center setting section 9 for setting the flying-course center so as to minimize the target included in an image generated by the synthetic aperture radar processing sections; and a guidance control section 10 for guiding the flying object, such that the center of the target coincides with the flying-course center, set by the flying-course center setting section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p>
