PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator having high deodorizing and sterilizing performance. SOLUTION: This refrigerator 100 has a box body 101 composed of a thermal insulation material and forming a storage chamber 102 inside, a door body 107 openably-closably installed in an opening part of the box body 101, a cooling means 115 generating cold air by cooling air, and a refrigeration chamber delivery duct (a cold air circulating passage) 129a circulating the cold air between the storage chamber 102 and the cooling means 115. The inside of the cold air circulating passage is provided with a sterilizing device 200 having a carrier 201 carrying a photocatalyst, and a first irradiating means 202 irradiating the carrier 201 with the exciting light for exciting the photocatalyst.
