PURPOSE: A system for processing the authentication of a web server is provided to avoid the overload on the web server and the delay of the web server data and to enhance the performance by using the SSL(Secure Socket Layer) processing data part calculated via the hardware for the fast calculation. CONSTITUTION: An SSL code is based on the RSA(Rivest-Shamir-Adelman) processing and on the calculation of the R¬(m)mod N. R is multiplied by m. R and N are varied depending on a code. In the incredible level, the 1024-bit calculation is needed. M is a number over 256-bit to meet the incredible level. Due to the multiplication and division of a large number, the slow and complicated software calculation is repeated. Accordingly, the processing ability per a second falls. The SSL code processing is performed by an exclusive calculator. The calculator is connected with a computer via a PCI(Peripheral Component Interconnect) controller.
