PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure ventilation performance for restraining excessive deformation of boots, without impairing the seal action of the boots. SOLUTION: This constant velocity universal joint comprises: an outer ring 22; an inner ring 21 joined to a shaft 25; a plurality of balls 23 transmitting torque between the outer ring 22 and the inner ring 21; and the boots 28 partitioning the inside and the outside of the joint and having one end fitted to the shaft 25. A vent hole 41 extending through the inside and the outside of the joint and having a slope 41a with a radius of gyration gradually varied in the axial direction is formed in the boots 28 at the small-diameter end 28b forming the fitting part between the boots 28 and the shaft 25.
