<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the efficiency in synthesizing barcode data. <P>SOLUTION: The barcode reader 1 includes a reading part 15 which successively reads barcodes along with movement of a range to read the bar codes to acquire barcode data; a RAM 14 which stores each of barcode data acquired by the reading part 15; and a gyro sensor 16 which detects a moving state of the reading part 15 within a three-dimensional space. A CPU 10 calculates, based on the moving state detected by the gyro sensor 16, a moving quantity (synthesis moving distance) of the reading part 15 needed for synthesizing barcode data, synthesizes the barcode data acquired before the reading part 15 is moved by the synthesis moving distance and the barcode data acquired after the reading part is moved by the distance, which are stored in the RAM 14, and decodes the synthesized barcode data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
