<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnet for axial magneto bearing that has small eddy current loss in a core, and a magneto bearing device having small eddy current loss in the core of the electromagnet for the axial magneto bearing. <P>SOLUTION: In the electromagnet 13 for the axial magneto bearing, an annular coil 21 is accommodated inside an annular groove 23 for coils formed on one end surface of an annular core 20.
