PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removing device for a rail capable of efficiently separating deposit on the surface of the rail by a simple operation. SOLUTION: The removing device for a rail is attached to a rail 2 by holding the bottom part 2B of the rail 2 between a body 10 and a mounting part 11 formed on the body 10. A slidable contact part formed at the front end of the body 10 is brought into slidable contact with the lower surface 2D of the bottom part 2B of the rail 2 by moving the body 10 along the moving direction parallel to the rail 2. By this operation, a rail pad adhered to the lower surface 2D is removed. Consequently, the deposit on the surface of the rail 2 can be efficiently peeled by such a simple operation that the body 10 mounted on the rail 2 is moved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
