摘要 A composition for manufacturing barrier rib and a plasma display panel manufactured using the composition are provided to obtain a barrier rib of high sensitivity, high resolution and high accuracy which performs higher reflectivity by preventing the decrease of exposure sensitivity in oxygen. A composition for manufacturing barrier rib comprises: metal oxide sol and glass powder comprising the glass powder of low-melting point and the glass powder of high-melting point, and the metal oxide comprises photo-acid generator, metal oxide and vehicle. The amount of the metal oxide in the metal oxide sol is 5-50 parts by volume with respect to 100 parts by volume of vehicle. The amount of the metal oxide is 1-30 parts by volume with respect to 100 parts by volume of the glass powder. The arithmetic mean(alpha) of the thermal expansion coefficient of the metal oxide and that of the glass powder satisfies the following relationship: the coefficient of the substratex0.9<=alpha<=the coefficient of the substratex1.0. The mean refractive index of the metal oxide sol(N1) and the mean refractive index of the glass powder(N2) satisfy the following relationship: -0.2<=N1-N2<=0.2. The mean refractive index of the glass powder of low-melting point and the mean refractive index of the glass powder of high-melting point satisfy the following relationship: -0.2<=N3-N4<=0.2. A plasma display panel manufactured using the composition has an address electrode(13) along an aspect on a first substrate(3), and a first dielectric layer(15) which covers the address electrode on the primary substrate. Several numbers of discharge cells(7R,7G,7B) are formed between barrier ribs(5) which is prepared with the composition for manufacturing barrier rib and located between address electrodes on the primary dielectric layer. The discharge cell has fluorescence substance layers(8R,8G,8B) of red, green and blue inside. One aspect of the second substrate(1) located opposite to the first substrate has display electrode consisting of a pair of transparent electrodes(9a,11a) and bus electrodes(9b,11b) along the direction crossing the address electrode, and a MgO protector(19) and a second dielectric layer(17) are formed on the second substrate(1) while covering the display electrode.
