PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device capable of surely operating without having incorrect counting of the number of rotation, in one mainly used for an operation of an air conditioner, an acoustic instrument or the like of an automobile. SOLUTION: The input device stops its operation at an intermediate position of a turning point so that a control means 10 is structured to detect a rising edge and a falling edge of a second pulse signal B in addition to an ON and an OFF states of the second signal B and not count a first pulse signal A while the second pulse signal B is not changed. Even though an operation shaft 3 is slightly rotated by vibration, the input device can surely operate without having incorrect counting of the number of rotation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
