Disclosed is a method and an apparatus for transmitting/receiving mobilit y information to support the handover and roaming in a digital broadcasting system. The transmission method includes the steps of setting mobility infor mation including information elements for indicating at least one handover/r oaming type according to whether or not support of an interactive network is available for handover/roaming; inserting the mobility information into at least one of an ESG regarding broadcasting services, a notification message, and an independent signaling message so that the mobility information is tr ansmitted to at least one terminal; and conducting handover or roaming of th e terminal according to the mobility information.
