PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which can prevent the heating member from breaking by eliminating warps of the reinforcing member and holding member in it. SOLUTION: The heating member has, inside it, a holding means consisting of a holder along the nip formed by the heating member and the presser pressing each other and a reinforcing part pushing the holder toward the presser while supporting both ends in the length direction of the heating member, and a heater to heat this holding means and the heater without touching. The reinforcing part consists of two bimetal layers, one of which at turning downstream the heating member has a thermal expansion coefficient smaller than the turning upstream layer.
