<p>An austenitic stainless steel welded joint where the base metal and the w eld metal contain by mass C: 0.3% or below, Si: 2% or below, Mn: 0.01 to 3.0 %, P: more than 0.04% to 0.3%, S: 0.03% or below, Cr: 12 to 30%, Ni: 6 to 55 %, rare earth elements: more than 0.2% to 0.6%, sol. Al: 0.001 to 3% and N: 0.3% or below with the balance being Fe and impurities and satisfy the relat ionship: (Cr+1.5~Si+2~P)/(Ni+0.31~Mn+22~C+14.2~N+5~P)<1.388. The welded j oint is excellent in weld solidification cracking resistance, though it has a high P content and causes complete austenitic solidification.
