PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulley with an aligning function, superior in durability, simple to construct with a less number of components, easy to assemble, and capable of automatically correcting the meandering or one-sided travel of a belt of a belt transmission device. SOLUTION: An aligning ring 13 is fitted to the outside of a fixed shaft 11, a spherical face 14 formed on the inner periphery of the aligning ring 13 is guided in contact with a spherical face 12 provided on the outer periphery of the fixed shaft 11, and a supporting point pin 16 is inserted into a pin hole 15 formed through the fixed shaft 11 and the aligning ring 13 to rockingly support the aligning ring 13. A belt guide ring 19 is provided on the outer periphery of the aligning ring 13 for rotatably supporting it. The direction of a radial load which is given from the belt 3 guided by the belt guide ring 19 to the belt guide ring 19 is used as a reference line in the inclined condition that the supporting point pin 16 fall a predetermined angle down rearward in the moving direction of the belt. During the one-sided travel of the belt 3, the belt guide ring 19 is inclined so that the belt 3 is made lower at the side of one-sided travel and the belt guide ring 19 is inclined in the travelling direction of the belt 3 to automatically correct the one-sided travel of the belt 3.
