PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that prevents automatic adjustment of the brightness of print image from being carried out, contrary to the intent of photographing. SOLUTION: An image processor performs image processings on image data, according to an image file that includes the image data, and to image processing control information used for the image data processing. This image processor has an image quality automatic adjusting section that automatically adjusts the brightness and contrast of the image data, according to the overall brightness of print image that is expressed by the image data, and a decision unit for deciding propriety of this automatic adjustment.
